![]() Self care is often seen as eating well, exercising, sleeping well and pampering yourself with some kind of treatment. I love this kind of self care but I would like to talk to you about what I think is the core of self care. The self care that really matters. When we commit to love and truth, and practice radical self inquiry we practice true self care. By putting love and truth on top of your list and make them your standard of how you interact with yourself and the world, you make your world a better place. We never win withholding truth and love from anybody or anything. It is tempting to do so, and it may look like it is the easiest way out - but in the long run it is not. It will only create more confusion and suffering. When you understand that everything is interconnected you also see that the way you treat yourself will affect the whole world around you. When love and truth is not allowed or expressed, there will be some kind of suffering. If you are throwing stones towards yourself with a judgmental attitude and self neglect, you will not only harm your self, but the ripples of the stones thrown will harm every one and every thing as well. It is important to see that when you withhold love or truth it is not judged by Life/Existence. In that sense there is nothing right or wrong, but depending on how you choose to live you will have a different experience. When you allow love to flow and and when you are radically honest with who you are and how you feel, it will feel much better and more real than the other. Be truthful, loving and caring toward yourself on all levels and your life change. Your relationships change, the way you perform and act in life changes and maybe most of all, the way you see the world will change. But don´t take my word for it. Try it for yourself. How can you allow more love and truth to flow into your life today?
